David Israel, DVM

Dr. David Israel was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and received his B.A. in English at the University at Albany. After college he worked as a journalist for a Rhode Island newspaper while at the same time pursuing a career in music. A change in direction eventually led him to Michigan State University, where he completed his veterinary degree prior to moving to Denver to begin his year-long internship at VCA Alameda East. Dr. Israel's professional interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine and neurology.

Outside of work, Dr. Israel enjoys camping and hiking with his wife Heather, who is also a veterinarian, and their three mutts. They also live with four rescued cats and a lot of fur. In his spare time he also enjoys playing music, racquetball, stickball and hockey.
