Jessica Hess, DVM

Dr. Jessica Hess was born and raised in the small town of Monroe City in rural northeast Missouri. At an early age she decided to combine her love of animals with her interest in biology to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Missouri where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences in 2005. She went on to graduate from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Hess and her husband, Matt, were excited to head to the Rockies after she was accepted as small animal intern at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital.

Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, general surgery, and oncology. After completing her internship, Dr. Hess plans to pursue a career as an emergency and critical care clinician. When not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband hiking, cooking, reading, and hanging out with their two dogs and two cats.
