Jennifer Messinger, DVM, DACVIM
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Dr. Messinger was raised on a ranch in southwest Nebraska. She obtained her BS in Agricultural Sciences at University of Nebraska-Lincoln followed by veterinary school at Kansas State University. With her farming background she was intent on doing feedlot medicine and consulting but switched to small animal medicine in her fourth year. Upon graduation she was selected for an internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. Once her internship was complete she enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania for a residency in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Messinger was welcomed back to the Hospital in 2005 with Rocky Mountain Veterinary Specialists. Her practice is limited to Internal Medicine. Her Internal Medicine interests include gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disease, endocrine diseases, and urology.

Dr. Messinger lives with her two cats, Merlyn and Harvey. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, hiking, volleyball, and music.
