Training

Does your pooch exhibit signs of selective hearing?
Is “treat” your pup’s one-word vocabulary?
Does your active dog “need a job”?
Bring ’em on. We can help.

We offer training classes at Animal Lodge™. Training not only improves behavior and your pet's safety, but also increases the human-animal bond. We know you and your dog will love our trainer, Brett Titus, as much as we do. And yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Puppy Class: Designed for the youngster 8 weeks to 8 months old, this class focuses on imprinting and foundation for the basic commands. A must-have for the well mannered pup, it involves behavior problem solving, health care, grooming, and lots of love and social interaction. Classes are one day per week for five weeks. $150

Basic Obedience: This course is designed to begin perfecting the basic commands: sit, down, stay, heel on lead, and come, with emphasis on manners and social skills. All dogs 8 months and up may participate. This class provides an excellent format to reinforce puppy class training, too. Classes are once a week for five weeks. $185

Intermediate Course: Designed for the active dog, this course is for the dog that wants more out of life. The course is founded on more advanced obedience using the drives of the dog. Sit, down, stay, heel, come, and finish are some of the commands taught. We will also evaluate the dog for possible rally, agility, advanced obedience and sport work. All dogs, a year and older, are eligible. Classes are once a week for six weeks. $285

Advanced Course: This is high level obedience training at its best. It includes all the basic exercises, plus in-motion sits, downs and off lead heeling, preparing the dog and owner for titles and certifications. We will evaluate the dog's drive for suitability for this course. All dogs, one year and older, are eligible. Classes are once a week for six weeks.

Specialized Training: We also offer private sessions including AKC Canine Good Citizen, Rally O, CD, CDX training, Schutzhund and tracking.

Class size is limited so please register early. In some cases classes may be rescheduled to obtain class minimums.
