VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital surgeons have an international reputation for excellence. We have a long history of being the first to bring new technology, treatments, and procedures to our patients. Collaborating with other specialists on our team gives us an edge in determining proper diagnosis with the assistance of ultrasound, MRI, CT and scoping procedures.

We maintain care techniques on par with and often exceeding standards of care observed in human medicine. Our four operating rooms function with "clean-room" technology. We have designated suites for major and minor procedures, plus a dedicated suite for minimally invasive procedures.

Our major OR, dedicated to time-intensive procedures such as orthopedic work and vascular surgery, features laminar flow. Laminar flow keeps the operating environment as sterile as possible.

This standard of environmental cleanliness can translate to fewer post-operative complications. You'll find that our self-imposed standard of cleanliness is rarely found in veterinary medicine.
