Caroline Adamson Adrian, MSPT, CCRP
Director, Physical Therapy Services
Caroline (Carrie) Adamson Adrian is a native of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1994 from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Carrie gained animal experience working in veterinary hospitals in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and South Carolina since 1990. She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from North Georgia College in 1999. Carrie has participated in a number of continuing education seminars on animal rehabilitation, both as a participant and lecturer. She has lectured nationally, as well as internationally, on the topic of veterinary rehabilitation. She has published a number of articles related to animal rehabilitation and is a contributor to the textbook Canine Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy. She presently serves as Chair of the Committee on Practice for the Animal Special Interest Group within the American Physical Therapy Association and is a member of the American Canine Sports Medicine Association. After a brief period working with humans in home health pediatrics, she moved to Colorado in 2000 to develop and direct our Physical Therapy Clinic. This clinic serves as an approved clinical practicum site for the first formal animal rehabilitation training program offered in the country. The SM&R Clinic also promotes evidence-based practice and clinically established rehabilitation techniques by conducting research and case studies. Continuing education courses are offered to other animal physical rehabilitation therapists and animal healthcare professionals serving to promote a collaborative effort between the two professions.
Tammy Wolfe, PT, CFP, CCRP
Tammy graduated from Indiana University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She has taken multiple courses in orthopedic rehabilitation and has specialized in orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. In 1999, Tammy completed a four-year professional course to become a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, including Awareness through Movement teaching and Functional Integration Manual Techniques. She owned a private practice in Northglenn, Colorado from 1999 to 2003. After closing her practice, she completed the required courses and passed written and practical exams to become certified in Canine Rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee. To continue pursuing her interests in orthopedics and sports medicine, Tammy joined the Colorado Physical Therapy Institute (CPTI) staff in March 2004. She currently has over 1100 continuing education hours.
